York rake wheel set

This wheel set is very well made, extremely heavily built. The bolt holes are 4 inches on center with a cut out to compensate for the third bolt head 2” on center between the bolt holes above. The wheel set could not be fitted as delivered. To make it fit, you need to move the bolt holes 5/16” back, or cut off the very end 5/16” to fit. I fortunately was able to cut off the end, weld in a new end making it fit perfectly! With this modification the wheel kit now fits and works great on a York Basic Line 6’ Rake

York Rake Wheel Kit, what a difference!

Great product! The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is the the packaging, poorly packed and it arrived missing a pin and a shim. Customer service was awesome and made it right ! These made a huge difference, I have been using a York rake for years without a wheel kit.. the wheel kit allows for ease of use and better quality work! Driveway looks amazing!

Wheels work good, but,,,,

The wheels work well with the six foot rake I bought at the same time. The problem was that either they were shipped damaged or UPS freight damaged them in transit. Mine arrived with one bearing in each wheel punched out of the wheel. I had to dissemble both wheel assemblies and split the wheels and, using a large socket drive the bearing back into place. Once I did that one wheel ran perfectly but the other wheel and been damaged and wobbles a bit, but it should work well enough. The rake and wheels wee shipped in a two foot by six foot by eight inch mild steel frame the arrived well beat up. Somebody at some point between here and China dropped something hard or put a very heavy weight on the wheels so that the bearing was punched into the center of the wheel. If you are buying the rake and wheels chances are you are used to working with tools and such problems would just be an annoyance. For $100 less than the competition, I can put up with a little annoyance.

The product was exactly what I was looking, was easy to install and worked the way I thought it would. What I was disappointed with was the packaging. The pictures show the condition of the box and damage to the broken grease zert. I had to drill and tap new threads to install a new grease zert. They had to put it in a new box in order to complete the delivery. I realize it didn’t come from your facility, but there must be a better way to ship. I’m not looking for any compensation. You said to be honest with my answers. I would like a response from you on this. Thank you, Robert Devine

USING ON A KING CUTTER, 6' RAKE... QUALITY IS GOOD AND THEY WORK WELL. THE TOLERENCE OF THE WHEEL SHAFT COULD BE TIGHTER, HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT BUSHINGS COULD BE MORE ROBUST BUT THEY ARE WORKING WELL. 1 GREASE FITTING WAS BROKEN AT DELIVERY BUT TITAN GAVE A SUITABLE REFUND THAT MORE THAN COVERED ME BUYING ONE LOCALLY. I RECOMMEND CHECKING TIRE PRESSURE AND TIGHTEN ALL RIM BOLT BEFORE USE (MOST WERE LOOSE). OVERALL, GREAT PRODUCT THAT MADE GRADING UNNEVEN DRIVEWAY AND TOP SOIL A BREEZE.

I took a chance and

I took a chance and order these as a more cost effective option for my Land Pride LR1672 rake compared to the Land Pride option. I was very please with the robust build quality. the holes lines up but unfortunately the mounting plate cannot sit flush as it hits the rake tine bolt. however, it is very easy to work around this. You can add thick washers, a 1/4-3/8 metal plate (as I did) or grind a small amount off the leading edge.

My 7' rake is a

My 7' rake is a little different than the Titan rake, but they were out of stock. I need to drill one hole on either side to mount so it is no big deal. Like the idea of fine adjustment for fairly rough areas, a few more passes and half the mess! Curious how wheels will handle wetter soil, but I guess I will find out.
