I have a small Mahindra 2638 Cab Tractor. The handling is a noticeable difference over the regular 66’ bucket it comes with. The weight and distance it extends from the machine are noticeable. The bucket is build well, it’s thick, it solid. It appears that I will have it for years to come. It was delivered on a wooden pallet with a metal angle iron frame within a week or two. I was impressed with the quality, delivery time and company overall so I made additional purchases.

This Implement Is A Brute

Because of the winter rains we get here in North Texas, I’ve only recently been able to put this stump bucket to use. And I can tell you that it is an absolute brute. Mounted on my 64 HP tractor, I effortlessly dug up an 8” tree stump with massive roots. But the truly amazing task was removing a 3-legged, 16’ long steel farm gate post that had been for at least 50 years buried in 3’ of concrete 4’ in the ground. I learned not to attack the target object directly. Remove the area immediately around the sub-base of the object for that is what binds the object to the ground. To remove roots, dig underneath the root, lift with force up on the underside of the root, then back away from the root. This causes the serrated upper-edge of the bucket to saw through the root. Before I purchased this monster stump bucket, I assumed that my expectations were too high. I was wrong by a wide margin. Attack the object to be removed with patience and a strategy, and you’ll be as amazed and happy as I am with this implement.

Excellent Implement

Can't say enough good things about this product. Extremely heavy-duty bucket. You will not have to worry about breaking this thing. I suggest taking your time figuring out how to use this correctly and you will be very pleased with your results. Let the teeth and the steep angle of the bucket sides do the work. Lay it flat and push it under big roots after making a hole deep enough to get under. Push it under the big roots then move back if it doesn't cut it and repeat. Haven't found any stump it won't handle and it is excellent at digging holes and trenching as well. This is a foreign-made product but it is heavier than the US-made bucket. Like twice as heavy, for the same or less money. I seriously warn against trying to use this bucket on anything but a utility size or larger tractor. I have it on a Kubota M5660. The US product may be a better choice if you are gonna try and use a lighter tractor because it is half the weight of this one.

Strong - Turns your tractor

The 4 stars is simply due to one thing and one thing only. The SSQA is hard to use if it is not completely level. You could say this about any SSQA attachment, but this one has a big flaw. Those big gaps allow for your front loader to get caught when lifting making it take much longer to attach if the ground is not perfectly even at both the tractor and implement side (almost impossible for me right now). Aside from that, this beast can knock down trees in a couple hits without showing any bending or give way. That same thing cannot be said of a normal bucket. My only (unreasonable) wish is that I could have both in one attachment. A wide super heavy duty bucket that is also deep and toothed like this guy. Once I get trees down and de-rooted, I can only move a couple feet of the mess out of the way at a time instead of 6-8ft making post fall cleanup take extra time. When you are clearing acres of forest, this makes a huge difference.

A beautiful Stump bucket...

The HD stump bucket is nicely built, and heavy as a full sized bucket. I haven't dug any stumps yet, but I am certain it will do the job nicely. A couple of points that might make the experience better: 1) the bucket is mounted upside down in its heavy angle iron crate. You have to flip the whole thing to couple it to your skid steer so you can move it about. Would it really have been so difficult to crate it so that it can be hitched to the quick attach? 2) The welder got a little careless when placing the angle braces that stiffen the upper bar of the quick attach. They let them overhang the space where the skid steer's quick attach handle must move, and it becomes a one way latch: You can latch it, but you can't unlatch it. I had to grind the overhanging bits of the angle brace off so my quick attach handles could move freely in both the latch and unlatch directions.
