Very heavy duty attachment

I’m very impressed with the quality of the grapple! It’s a beast. I have a 6 series 100hp jd tractor and the grapple will handle more than my tractor I think. I put my disc on the back for counter weight and grabbed up some white oak logs that were over 2,000 lbs with ease. The design also opens wider than others so you can get a bigger load of loose limbs as well. It’s perfect. It’s heavy so I’d recommend no smaller than a 5 series for it. Get the lighter one if you have less tractor than that.

It does exactly what I wanted it to do. Very happy with it. Built sturdy. I wouldn't try to use it as a bulldozer or for picking up huge logs. But that's not what it's built for anyway. I used to use a regular bucket with a grapple attachment. This is far superior. Biggest advantages over the bucket are 1. Open ends let it grab a full bite of material 2. Open design lets you see through it so that you are not working blind 3. Full-width grapple grabs loose material and holds it well. See my review of the ordering process for a hint on shipping.

Overall good product

As others have stated in reviews for this product, I had to replace the hydraulic fittings because they did not fit the hook-ups on my JD5065E. Also, you have to be careful when attaching the grapple to the quick attach. The first time we hooked it up it looked like it was attached, but the holes did not line up properly and it popped loose... not a big issue, now we know to inspect it more thoroughly after hooking it up. I may check to see if I can hit it with a grinder or something to loosen it up a little. Overall, a solid piece of equipment. It is capable to do what it is intended to do.

I think the grapple rake is a good deal for the price. I'm not giving it a 5-star rating due to 2 things. The t connections for hyd lines have no protection. This was an easy fix with a 12-inch piece of 6 x 3.5 in. structural angle and a little welding. The second thing is more aesthetic, the welded-in spacers between the bottom stationary teeth were not put in the strait. Everyone is crooked and none are consistent. Other than that it works well. I purchased one of these several months ago for my JD 5075 tractor. Titan shipped it extremely fast and it was shipped in a metal enclosed pallet. I have been using this to clear brush and trees from over grown pastures. I also use this for clean up in two maple syrup sap bushes with approx 700 tapped trees and two wood lots with planted red pine and spruce for lumber. This grapple does an amazing amount of work for us and I am very pleased with it.

It works great is heavy duty. The only thing I wish is the teeth would go in between each other the middle ones do but the two on outside don’t so it’s a challenge to pick up small stuff.For all the reviews that say it’s hard to hook up the trick is to open grapple all the way and put open end towards ground it’s steady this way and you can line bottom brackets up when you hook up makes all the difference.

Brush clean up is easy now!

We have tried several ways to get rid of brush and limbs we cut to keep our trails cleared. Now we just drop them at the edge of the trail and I scoop them up and stack them high on brush piles. It saves me a lot of time!
