I was hesitant on ordering something this big online do to some of the other reviews and the cost. But it ended up saving me about $2000 and it is heavy duty. Grapple shipping was great they kept in contact with me almost daily letting me know the progress. Delivered right to my garage for free! Shipped in a metal crate just take all the bolts out and lift out with your loader. All of the fittings to the loader lined up perfectly put the locking pins in and that part is done. For the hydraulics there is 1 part that looks like a spring you attach it to the grapple by backing out 2 bolts. Put it on the side that works for you it can be mounted on either side. I put mine on the drivers side so I can keep an eye on it. The hydraulic fittings fit perfectly. Lastly need to grease all of the fittings on the grapple. I was not missing any and they were all secure. Good to go! This thing is a Beast it has handled everything I have asked it to do. From picking up piles of cut limbs, pushing and stacking burn piles, to picking up and carrying down trees it is a real time and back saver!

Very Sturdy, Easy Installation, Adequate Quality

I received the grapple very quickly, so shipping speed was excellent, even though it was a direct freight shipment. The steel crate it came in had some damage from the overseas shipping it appears, but fortunately no damage to the grapple. The grapple is a beast for the price. It is very sturdy and built with robust steel in all the right places. Right out of the crate it worked well, it was very easy to mount up to my John Deere 4052M. I would probably like it to be a little lighter in weight, but I wasn't willing to buy the economy grapple that appears to be quite a bit flimsier, so to cut weight and make it easier to maneuver, I bought the 60" instead of the 72". I would not recommend the 72" unless you have at least a 5 series JD tractor. The only complaints I have is that the welds are not great in some areas (visible porosity) and some of the vertical members are a little bit off of plumb, but I think that is typical of Chinese manufacturing nowadays. Unfortunately, you will not get this grapple for this price if it was made fully here in the U.S. The hydraulics (cylinders, fittings, hoses, routing) all appear to be of adequate quality so far, but time will tell. I do like the 1/2" Ag Style QDs for the hydraulic lines. They are of good quality, dont leak and come with covers to keep dirt out. They happened to match up perfectly with the 3rd function kit I recently installed for loader accessories on my tractor from Summit Hydraulics. Overall, I am pretty hard on my equipment and have a high standard for quality and I am satisfied with this grapple. The negative things that I see, I can live with, and they don't seem at this time to have any detrimental effect on performance or durability. Mostly aesthetic. I would recommend this grapple to others for purchase and already have. We have lots of Hurricane Helene clean up to do in my area and the grapple has already been beneficial in that regard.

Nice Grapple, but…

This is a very heavy duty piece of equipment. The welds are all solid and it’s built like a tank. It’s actually a little heavy for my 4044 John Deere, but that’s on me, and it still easily handles the large piles of brush and limbs that I move around with proper rear ballast. The only two reasons I didn’t give it a 5 star: 1. The grease zerks were all loose (hand tight) and one was missing. This seems to be a pretty common issue with Titan grapples. 2. The more serious issue, the hydraulic hoses are arranged in such a way that, where they are routed to the cylinders, they rub against a sharp edge of the protective channel on both sides. My hoses already have grooves cut into them after a day of use and will no doubt spring a leak at some point if I continue to use the grapple as is. Unfortunately I didn’t notice this sooner or I would’ve figured out a way to protect the hoses. The grease zerks aren’t a big deal. The hydraulic hoses rubbing against a sharp corner on both cylinders is a pretty big problem. Overall this is a great grapple for money. Be sure to compare the weight of the grapple to your tractor/loader lift capacity. Have some extra grease zerks on hand and put a wrench to them to make sure they’re tight. And before you use the grapple, inspect the routing of the hydraulic hoses for places where they might rub when opening/closing.

John Deere 4066R with 72" Grapple

I just purchased a new John Deere 4066R tractor and was looking for a bucket attachment that would be useful in clearing and moving cut brush and trees as well as digging out the remaining roots . This grapple works perfect for that kind of work and easily connects to my 3rd function hydraulics. The 2 clamping jaws are great for piling up uneven loads in the grapple for secure transport . This is a very rugged well made piece of equipment at a very reasonable price. There is one small issue that Titan should look at which is the pin spacing for the John Deere loader attachments are 47" center to center or 48" outside to outside the spacing on my grapple is 47-3/4" outside to outside, everything still fits just barely but Titan should correct this.

Mostly satisfied

Pros: Communication, shipping, fit 400x loader perfectly, quality of materials, design, and most of all, PERFORMANCE! Minor con: No option to order with the -6 (3/8) quick disconnect fittings. I chose to upgrade the fittings on my 3rd function to -8 to fit the grapple fittings because the fittings at the bottom of the loader and the back of the tractor are also -8. Major con: Some of the welds should not have cleared quality control, Some of the welds missed the joint completely. Others had insufficient heat or fill material. I expect to be touching up some of these welds this winter. They really need to step up their quality control. I am assuming this is COVID related problem.
