Works as advertised
Bought this for my ranch in Texas. Handles anything I throw at it under 4 inches. Just have to cut it short. I recommend using a PTO clutch so you don’t go through the sheer pin.

The beast
This replaced a 7-hp portable chipper and it eats branches for breakfast, lunch and dinner. What would take a couple hours with our old chipper takes 15~20 minutes with this one. It has not clogged on us, blades stay sharp and just says "Feed me".

Excellent pice of equipment at a affordable price
Good quality welding and paint , steel construction is durable and well designed. Discharge spout will come out of the latching grove and move around. I drilled a hole opposit the latch and dropped a 1/4 inch pin into the cutouts. The folding feed chute had bolts welded into the lower flange to secure to the frame. They didn't quite it into the frame. A bit of grinding corrected that problem. The PTO shaft splines had a bur at the latching pin cut out, Small bit of filing and it slid right on. Small proublems that are common on welded farm equipment. Operation is quit and vibration free. Put in your ear plugs when you start feeding limbs. My 25 hp Kubota loses 200 RPMs with a 4 inch limb feeding into chipper. I did shear the shear pen when a knotty top pulled itself in to fast. Use a soft bolt for replacement , it will save your tractor drive train and protect the chipper. Over all i am very satisfied with the chipper.
