Medium duty, great for gathering fallen branches after a storm, and smoothing after grading

Being able to tow the rake behind an ATV/UTV lets me get to field maintenance earlier, while the fields are still too soft for the tractor. Cleanup in the spring and after storms or a tree felling is much easier now with the rake running behind the side-by-side. After a grading of the driveway/road this rake really helps smooth things out. The reason for the loss of a star in my rating: UTV and ATV hitches are notoriously lower to the ground 12" max (where car/truck are 15"+). With the current design, if you have a low hitch height, when you adjust the wheels to lift the rake off the ground for "transport" the tines barely clear earth. And as you pull and it bounces around, the rake will tilt and hit the ground. One fix is to use a "riser hitch" to bring the ATV hitch ball height up a few inches. The alternative (which I'm going to do) is to bore a couple additiional holes in the link bar between the handle and the wheel carriage. Shortening the bar raises the wheels higher. Having mutiple adjustment holes (and using a hitch pin instead of a bolt) will let me use hitches at various heights on various vehicles and always be able to get both good engagement and good transport ground clearance from the rake.

I have used the rake it is good and heavy enough to tackle the job it would be better if it had a way to adjust a tension bar up and down so when you are doing rocks it won’t bend the tines as bad

I bought this to rake up sticks, it works great for that just wish it had a way to dump the load. Maybe like a old oneway plow with a pull rope. I tried raking rocks in my hay field, didn't work! It works well for smoothing out dirt clods or raking gravel back onto the road from the sides.

Overall good equipment, but needs some tweaking

I love this piece of equipment it grades our horse round pen and pasture as advertised. An impact wrench is a must with all the nuts and bolts you need to assemble. That said, the downsides 1. THE INSTRUCTIONS SUCK!!! You need the picture to put it together. The Trailer portion schematic does not line up. If you work on a ranch or have any kind of mechanical abilities you can assemble this or through trial and error. 2. When you put on the tire A Frame you can not access the top hole due to it hitting other hardware. 3. You can not fully swing the Rake to transit without hitting the rear tires. 4. Rear tires are not round, the wheels are but the tires are out of round, but not to worry at slow quad speeds. 5. The packaging is substandard for shipping. We received ours with the cardboard box missing. The box showed up a day later.
