Equipped with a spring-loaded mowing arm and steel guard, the trimmer head cuts within half an inch of obstacles, allowing you to tackle weeds and tall grass without damaging fence posts, walls, and other decorative features. Built with a sturdy pivoting deck, it follows the contours of the landscape for effective maintenance on uneven terrain, ensuring a well-groomed appearance without scalping. This mower easily attaches to any Category 1 tractor with a 3 Point hitch and is powered by your machine's PTO. For optimal performance, we recommend using a tractor with a maximum of 45 HP.

Lack of Quick Hitch Capabilities

Won’t be able to test the trimmer until April. My only initial dislike is that the trimmer does not have quick hitch capabilities. This is the reason I can only give the product a 4 at this time.

3 point trimmer comments 1. Include a written instruction document for assembly and set-up of the unit. The instructions should indicate if lubrication of the new unit is required before operation. Some indication of the optimum tractor 3-point arm height off the ground would be helpful to establish a flat 'working' orientation of the trimmer head. 2. The springback assembly forward attachment bolt & nut were loose in the box. 3. Gearbox shaft / key / coupler would not assemble without shaving the key and removing paint overspray. The gearbox shaft keyway was too shallow by about 0.020”. Yellow paint overspray in the coupler bore prevented fit-up. 4. The M8x240 bolt / 3pt bracket / articulated bracket A did not align. The bolt interfered with the edges of the bracket slots. A smaller diameter bolt was substituted to fit and allow free motion. Suggest the slots be opened up or the manufacturing fixture adjusted.

Works as intended.

This unit does do what it's supposed to. Mine likes to throw the strings out for some reason, haven't figured that one out yet. I have done a few miles of fence line so far. The only issue I have had is the weak point of the whole thing. The spring-back assembly snapped itself in half. It is just a piece of all-thread with some nuts and springs. The support team helped me out with a replacement and I'll be up and running again soon.
